Safety First

For Hyundai, It’s Always Safety First, Last, And Always

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, each year there are between 35,000 and 62,000 forklift-related injuries.  Many of these involve bystanders and pedestrians.  OSHA also estimates that more than 70% of these accidents are preventable.

At Hyundai Material Handling, our focus is always on safety: safety of the operator, safety of people working around our forklifts, safety of those who service and maintain them, and safety of the loads our machines carry and the facilities in which they work.

To safeguard everyone, Hyundai builds layers of safety into our equipment by employing the most innovative technology available.  Check out how we put safety first.

One of the most important safety options we offer is our Pedestrian Detection System.  This comprehensive system includes both front- and rear-view cameras, an alert voice siren, and a two-channel monitor.  It is a truly comprehensive system:

  • This system provides warnings to the operator, including visual cues on the monitor and auditory alarms
  • The cameras give operators a better, broader view of their surroundings
  • The proximity alerts detect pedestrians in blind spots

Intuitive in design, the Hyundai Pedestrian Detection System also assures that productivity isn’t sacrificed even as safety is enhanced.
