Hyundai Marks National Forklift Safety Day
June 10 marked the twelfth anniversary of National Forklift Safety, the annual event that Hyundai Material Handling and other forklift manufacturers support to put the focus on workplace safety and forklift safety practices. Beyond creating safer work environments, the goal of the day is to help educate customers, policymakers, legislators, the administration, the media, and the public at large.
Sponsored by the Industrial Truck Association (ITA), the signature event was held at the National Press Club in Washington. Key speakers included Brian Feehan, President of the ITA, executives from leading manufacturers, and educators.
While the event is held once a year, Hyundai is committed to making safety a focus every day, within our factories, our headquarters, with our dealers, and especially with owners of our equipment. We place a strong emphasis on proper operator training and our equipment is designed with comprehensive safety systems to protect the operator, those working around forklifts, the loads our equipment carry, and the work environment itself.
